Dear Honorable Commissioners of the FCC:

I am a deaf person who uses VRS. I am tired of feeling like my VRS choices and devices are limited. I would like to be able to use VRS services and video devices in a way that makes me equal to any other hearing user of telephone services in the United States.

Please take a hard look at the choices you have for setting up real telephone numbers for VRS. Please make sure you choose a solution that will make my VRS use safe, secure, and future-proof. I would like the NPAC solution with URI addresses, because this is the only safe, secure, and future-proof solution for VRS telephone numbers out there today.

Thank you.

Dear Commissioners:

Thank you for taking the time to consider the needs of deaf and hard of hearing people, and making sure we all have access to each other via the telecommunications network. Through your actions regarding relay, you have made America a global leader in providing full access to the telecommunications network.

However, the debate on real VRS telephone numbers has gone on long enough. There is a solution offered to the FCC that uses the same technology and the same database that the telecommunications industry has developed for hearing users. I want to be treated the same as a hearing user. I want to be able to access the same services that a hearing user can. It is my understanding that the NPAC solution with URI addresses will do this.

Please do not make "special" or "unique" solutions which are only nicer words for "inferior". Please make your decision based on what's right, and what will maintain America's lead as a global leader in telecommunications accessibility for the deaf and the hard of hearing.

I look forward to getting my real VRS telephone number by the end of this year!

Thank you for considering this.

Honorable Commissioners:

I am a VRS user who appreciates the access to VRS that the FCC has provided via the TRS fund. I appreciate the vision that the FCC commissioners have had over the years of offering functionally equivalent services for me.

At this point in time, I want the FCC to select the NPAC database with URI addresses for a RFP or bidding process that will allow for enhanced services for me as a VRS user. I want VRS providers to compete for my service by offering the best services along with features that will allow me increased functional equivalency as a telephone consumer.

Many thanks.

Dear Honorable Commissioners:

As a deaf user of VRS, I have been following the debate on real VRS telephone numbers. Thank you for taking the time to evaluate the various proposals on the table to ensure that we get a real VRS telephone number in a timely fashion.

I would like to suggest that the FCC carefully evaluate which of the proposed database solutions are most forward serving and have us deaf consumers in mind. I respectfully request that the FCC look carefully at the NPAC database with URI addresses as opposed to brand-new databases with IP addresses and address the strengths of using the NPAC database with URI addresses for VRS providers to allow for enhanced services for me.

Thank you for your time.
